If you have or know a student that is managing type 1 and is in college, pass this information along to them! There are two great opportunities available for colleged students.
First, there are scholarships available from the Diabetes Scholars Foundation, four are JDRF Scholarships. The foundation awards scholarships to incoming freshmen seeking higher education at an accredited four year university, college, trade or technical school. This scholarship recognizes students who are actively involved in the diabetes community, have high academic performance, participate in communit and/or extra-curricular activities, and who are successfully managing their type 1 diabetes. These scholarships are not based on financial need. The deadline to apply is April 15th, so don’t delay!

The second opportunity for college students with T1D are internships. Students with Diabetes is currently accepting applications for their internship program.
